Australia was introduced to Lane Pittman in April 2022, when the then 16-year-old school student from Tamworth, NSW with the glorious mullet haircut and even more sensational vocal tone wowed audiences with his cover of Luke Combs “Even Though I’m Leaving ” as his audition for The Voice Australia. All four chairs turned, and Lane joined Team Keith (Keith Urban). Lane continued to progress and impress throughout the following weeks on The Voice, taking on any challenge he was set with an exceptional attitude and performance skills beyond his years.
With his performance of “Even Though I’m Leaving” being viewed over 5 million times across YouTube, TikTok and Instagram so far, Lane caught the eye of Luke Combs and his team. Lane was invited to be the opening act on Luke’s massive , sold-out Australian and New Zealand Tour with Cody Johnson, taking place in August 2023.
Having recently signed a management and record deal with Chugg Music, home to artists including Lime Cordiale, Sheppard & Casey Barnes. Lane has now released his first single on Chugg Music titled “Love In A Country Town”.
Written by Nashville heavyweights Neil Mason (from The Cadillac Three), Ryan Hurd and Aaron Eshuis, Lane said that “Love in A Country Town” feels like a fresh start for me. It’s the launch of this new chapter and I think it really reflects that. This song is all about falling in love, which I did from the second I heard it. I really hope people enjoy it and love it just as much as I do!”.

The performance caught the eye of Luke Combs, and his team and Lane was invited to be the opening act on Luke’s massive, sold-out Australian & New Zealand Tour with Cody Johnson, taking place in August 2023. Lane also appeared at CMC Rocks and sold out his first ever ticketed show at the Tamworth Country Music Festival in 2023.
Lane is completing his Higher School Certificate in 2023 and looking forward to getting stuck into writing, performing, and releasing more music as he commences his musical journey.
